Sunday 5th January - We're Off

Sunday 5th January 2014 The big day has come, and at 4pm I am still getting stuff together for the trip. I still think we've taken to much, even though I have halved the size of the suitcase. Perhaps by year 3, we might have sussed it properly. What a grey day it has been, which I suppose makes us a littler happier that we are flying off, but expecting to be wiped out with the heat when we first arrive – one extreme to the other. Harriet and Terry duly collected us at 6pm and threw us out of the car at Terminal 3 and we wheeled ourselves into the Thai Airways desk. All quick and efficient and we headed for the lounge and as it happened a large G&T, a glass of champagne and a glass of wine hic! It was their fault honest! The plan was 45 minutes late, and you have to do something to pass the time. Unfortunately Rod feeling a big rough and has started coughing, hope it doesn't turn into anything nasty. So we headed off into the sky and 11 hours of whatever. Harriet you must see Despicable II, brilliant and very silly.
