Onward to Dunedin

Saturday 8th February

Left Mclean's Falls for Dunedin today.  We saw a small sign for some falls and a forest walk, not that far out of town and decided to pull in.  What a magical place it was, I just had the feeling that it was such an old forest, and the falls at first didn't seem that great, but it was a lovely walk and the falls were magical.  Perhaps it was an Elvish Wood.

We arrived at the camp quite early and decided to get the bus into town for the afternoon and have a look around.  The weather was a bit iffy, but in the centre of the city there was a big market, with music and food stalls.  There was a good band playing so we stuck around for a while.

They had a few Art Deco period buildings and a lovely Edwardian Rail Station.

There wasn't really much else to Dunedin, so caught the bus back to the camp for the evening and had a night in.

We ventured through some other interesting places on the way, Mt Misery, Earthquake!, Poverty Hill, and lastly Cannibal Bay, which I don't want to know the story.......
